Are you afraid to give it away?

Many people hold their best ideas back. They keep frameworks proprietary. They stay vague in public and save the specifics for paying clients.

But I’ve found the opposite to be true. The more I give away, the more people want to work with me. Not because they can’t implement it – sometimes they can – but because they trust me.

Giving it away also forces you to keep developing. If your best idea is the one you’re protecting, you’re not growing. If you give it away and develop the next one, you compound.

The people who are most generous with their knowledge are almost always the most successful. Not because generosity is a strategy – but because it’s attractive. It draws people toward you.

Give it away. Then go develop the next thing.
