How Much Blogging Is Too Much?

Is there such a thing as too much blogging?

I’ve been posting daily – or near-daily – for several months now. And I’m starting to wonder whether quantity is working against quality.

The argument for frequent posting: you develop your voice, you give people a reason to return, you build momentum.

The argument against: every post dilutes the signal. If everything is important, nothing is. And there’s a real risk that the pressure to publish something – anything – leads to publishing things that aren’t worth publishing.

My current thinking: I’d rather post less and mean more. Quality over quantity. One thing worth saying, said well, is worth more than five things said for the sake of saying something.

The question I’m asking myself before I post: does this add something? Or am I just filling the space?
