Reflections on Pakistan, Day 1
Day 1 in Pakistan.
I arrived in Karachi and was immediately struck by two things: the warmth of the people, and the scale of the need.
The warmth is not a cliché. People here go out of their way in a way that I rarely see elsewhere. Hospitality is not a courtesy here – it’s a value.
The scale of the need is harder to describe. A population of 180 million, many of whom are young, many of whom have potential that will never be unlocked without investment, mentorship, and opportunity.
I’m here to talk about community, leadership, and the power of people working together. I’m beginning to think I might learn more than I teach.
