The Best Way I Build Team Is…
The best way I build team is by investing time in people one-to-one before asking anything of them in a group.
Most leaders skip this step. They call a team meeting, cast a vision, assign tasks – and then wonder why engagement is low.
But people follow people, not plans. And they follow people they feel known by. If I haven’t taken the time to understand what someone cares about, what motivates them, what they’re afraid of – then I’m leading a stranger.
One-to-one time first. Then the group makes sense.
